The Cottage

Entryway with a pair of boots on a shoe rack, a window with a blue vase and a framed picture, visible stairs, and an open door leading to a room with wooden flooring and a window.

Arranged in an upside-down layout, the bedrooms sit quietly on the ground floor, cool and restful, while the main living space is upstairs, where light and views can be fully enjoyed. The kitchen and dining area form a natural gathering point, with space to cook, linger and talk without hurry.

Converted from an old barn, the Cottage remains quietly attached to the farmhouse yet has its own gateway, parking and entrance porch. Very private, and yet you have access to the 20 acres of rolling land, woodland and river frontage to relax and observe.

Bedroom One

Bedroom One overlooks the owners’ beautifully kept garden, offering a peaceful outlook while remaining entirely private.

A king size bed anchors the room, dressed in layered, comfortable bedding in muted natural tones. Soft sheepskin rugs underfoot add warmth, while reading lamps either side make it easy to unwind with a book.

A large wardrobe provides generous storage, and the room has been designed as a quiet haven — a restful retreat at the end of the day.

The room provides space to unpack and hang clothes, making it easy to settle in for longer stays. Soft lighting and its own set of fluffy towels add to the relaxed and unhurried feel.

Another peaceful space to return to after a day outdoors.

Bedroom Three

Bedroom Three is finished in soft, neutral tones, creating a light and restful space.

A queen size bed makes it equally suitable for adults, with comfortable layered bedding and its own set of fluffy towels provided. Simple furnishings and a calm palette keep the room feeling easy and uncluttered.

Porch

The porch provides a practical and welcoming entry point, designed with walkers very much in mind.

The First Floor

The Lounge

Situated upstairs and running the full length of the cottage, the lounge is a generous and light-filled space, with windows at both ends framing far-reaching views across the Herefordshire landscape.

The high barn ceiling retains the character of the original building, giving the room a sense of openness and air. Comfortable sofas invite you to settle in after a day outdoors, whether with a coffee and pastries from a local market or simply with time to pause.

Books and games are on hand for slower evenings, while a smart TV offers the option of a film or music if you feel inclined. More often, the space lends itself to conversation and quiet moments shared.

Hunton is, above all, a place to switch off and relax.

Open plan Kitchen & Dining

Also situated upstairs to make the most of the light and views, the kitchen and dining space runs from front to back beneath the barn’s high ceilings. Windows at the front frame the surrounding countryside, while a large skylight and further window draws in the afternoon sun.

Connected to the lounge through a doorway, the spaces feel linked while still distinct. The dining area has its own relaxed character, with a large Welsh dresser, books and carefully chosen artwork adding personality and charm.

The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and coffee pod machine, with a small supply of pods provided to get you started. A welcome hamper of locally made produce awaits on arrival, and a radio is on hand for background music while you cook or dine.
